Treasure Hunting
Back in 2002, I was living in Modesto, CA. During that time, I often took morning trips to the flea markets/thrift stores/yardsales to take pictures and hunt for treasures. My trips were always filled with surprises and wonders. Looking through the camera lens, what I saw was an array of beautiful colors and shapes, glistening under the morning sunlight.
As if I could touch the light…

Now the epi-center of “Kool” is another treasured destination in San Francisco called SCRAP, Yes,the scroungers center for Reusable Art Parts. The warehouse is a treasure trove of inexpensive art supplies. This is a nonprofit center funded by the San Francisco Department of the Environment. The organization gathers up discards from design firms and other businesses. We all know people throw away fantastic things that with alittle creative thinking and inspiration can have a whole new life as art! So here is the scoop on your next wonderful destination and adventure day.

Wow…it’s a miracle. Yesterday, I was just wondering about where to shop for some frames to use for the pieces I made on muslin, possible to use for the show at Cafe Barrone. Thank you Lissa, you have given me a well of information in two days.
