Made these small envelopes from magazine clippings. Also, some small beautiful drawings cut out from the magazines.
These are some of the drawings that I saved from the magazines.

In the spirit of “Hunting and Gathering”…one of the best places I love to go for found treasures is the Alemany flea market in San Francisco. An early Sunday morning starts with an easy 45 min. beautiful drive up 280, off on Alemany and once you make the curve you are there. First sight will be the cluster of human “Bric o’Brac”…in other words Great Stuff! The space is small, friendly and I find everyone eager to start a converstaion of interest. My home is a visual testimonial to many adventures and treasures I have had at the Alemany. Now when it comes to flea markets…the Alameda flea market on the 1st Sunday of the month is the Bad Daddy of Fleas in the area but then you are swimming with sharks (aka the dealers looking for deals and the scarry pro’s with very deep pockets!).
So now what happens?…..

Thank you Lissa. Alemany flea market is new to me. Ever since I moved to San Jose, I have been looking for a flea market that sells antiques/vintage items. This place sounds great.

Hi there Sheau,
I think this weekend (Sat.July 1st) is the DeAnza Flea Market which takes place the first saturday of each month. Always fun, sometimes hot so go early….there are some great plant dealers with beautiful plants and my favorite…the people who have really cleaned out thier garages and have fun stuff.
See you next week, Lissa
